Sony closed out the press conferences today at E3 2009. Trailing behind both Nintendo and Microsoft in the console wars, we keep waiting of Sony to have a breakout year and try to regain their former glory. With a solid line up on the horizon Sony may just do that.

December 11th Sony Home Entertainment released HOME beta. The virtual world where you can hang out in a virtual apartment or meet your friends down at the virtual mall. And, so far I’m not impressed with it at all. After downloading and installing the program it gave me countless errors.
Today Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. announced that its PlayStation Home Beta service for PS3 owners will become available for all around the world on December 11, 2008. Does that mean this will be the largest ‘beta test’ for software ever? Does it even matter? We’ve got the official word from Sony.

If collecting trophies for Playstation 3 games are as addictive as achievements on the 360 then PS3 owners can rejoice because Sony has confirmed that all games released from January 2009 onward must have Trophy support.
