On May 22nd, WB will release all of The Matrix movies in two different boxed sets in full out 1080p HD. For an SRP of $99.99 The Complete Matrix Trilogy will contain all three movies with the contents below mentioned under The In- Movie Experience” while The Ultimate Matrix Collection will contain all of that, plus the rest of the listed supplements too for an SRP of $119.99If the contents of the box looks familiar, it’s simply the Ultimate box that already exists on standard DVD with an HD upgrade. It’s not clear yet if just the movies or ALL of the content is in HD. If we find out, we’ll make sure to let you know. Plus, get this – The movies are being stored on Dual-Sided (yes, you read that right) HD-DVD discs. Didn’t we end this stupid practice when we moved from standard def? I guess not. Anyhow, look for cover art as soon as it’s available.
