King Kong: Production Diaries

Here is an interesting annoucement. In conjunction with the December release of Peter Jackson’s remake of King Kong, Universal is going to release all of the web Production Diary featurette’s onto DVD.To get a peek at what will be included in the set,grab a monkey and crawl up a tall building…

Coming December 13th from Universal for $39.98, King Kong: Peter Jackson’s Production Diaries will be a limited edition set will make available all of the featurette’s that can currently be downloaded for free on www.kongisking.netPersonally, I’m not sure how I feel about this. I probably would have preferred the featurette’s to have been included in an uber-box set of the movie. It seem’s to me that Universal is simply getting greedy. Although, there are some decent features for the $40.Specs –

  • All 54 Video Diaries
  • 1.78:1 Anamorphic Video
  • Dolby Digital 2.0
  • 80 Page scrapbook of drawings, images, photographs and noted from Jackson
  • 4 Production Art Prints

    Just a reminder, the original 1933 version of King Kong is finally hitting DVD November 22nd in not one, but THREE lavish versions.
