Just announced yesterday Warner Home Video will be releasing some classic cartoons March 16th, and we’ve got the specs and cover art for The Flintstones: Season 1 and Scooby-Doo Where Are You?: The Complete First and Second Season. The Flintstones: Season 1 will feature all 28 prime-time episodes that aired in the 1960-61 season. The 4-disc edition features some pre-historic extras including 2 featurettes, TV promo spots, and the original pilot episode titled “The Flagstones.”You’ll only hear Fred screem “WILMA” in mono in three different languages (English,French, and Spanish) and the series is still presented in it’s original 4:3 aspect ratio, and will sport a runtime of 737 minutes. I know I can’t wait to get my hands on this series. Even more so than The Flintstones I can’t wait to get my grubby hands on the Scooby-Doo Where Are You?: The Complete First and Second Season.Scooby has always been one of my favorite cartoons and I still flick the channel when ever I notice a re-run or the new series is on the tub. This collection is loaded with 25 episodes from the series, which aired through 1969 and 1970. Sporting a runtime of 549 minutes this 4-DVD release will feature 2 featurettes, various music videos, and a DVD challenge. The video will be presented in its original OAR of 4:3 and will feature an English language track with English, French and Spanish subtitles. As a bonus, mostly due to the theatrical version of Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, the set will have a “Movie Cash” coupon that will save the bearer a maximum of $6.50.
