SYNGENOR stars Genre faves Starr Andreeff, Mitchell Laurance and the inimitable David Gale of RE-ANIMATOR fame (not to mention Arquette family patriarch Lewis Arquette and Bill Shatner’s daughter, Melanie).This is sci-fi/horror at it’s gruesome best, with special effects from the design team behind such classics as ALIENS and THE ABYSS and some of the best villainous humanoid-beasties since the original ALIEN.From the Elite press release:Norton Cyberdyne, a multinational corporation producing military defense technology, has created a SYNthesized GENetic ORganism: SYNGENOR—a “super-soldier,” perfect killing machine. When a prototype model gets loose and begins a killing rampage, Paula Gorski (Rive Spier), a manipulative company executive, takes the opportunity to pin the blame on CEO Carter Brown (Gale).With the prototype SYNGENOR on the loose, a breed of newly spawned creatures begins its own destruction within the building. As a battle ensues, the humans must use all means necessary to prevent these creatures from rising beyond the building. This freaky feature will come stacked, with a 1.85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen transfer, Dolby 2.0 and 5.1 Surround audio tracks, and SSDL dual layer formatting for optimal picture and sound. Extras will include commentary from writer Brent Friedman, trailers, stills, promos and artwork galleries, filmographies, David Gale’s audition tape, behind-the-scenes at a publicity photo shoot, a featurette on David Gale at Tokyo’s Fantastic Film Festival, and a featurette on Doug Beswick’s Creature Shop and their work on the SynGenOrs.
