THE MATRIX RELOADED has been scheduled for October 28. No details are available yet, but keep an Eye on us for more.24: SEASON TWO is on the Fox Home Video list for September 2.Warner Home Video has the acclaimed Christopher Walken indie, POOLHALL JUNKIES set for August 26. Anamorphic Widescreen, 5.1DDS and extras including commentary from writer/director/star Mars Callahan.Also from WB, Liza Minelli fans rejoice! CABARET comes to DVD on August 19. This looks to be the same package that used to be available, with new artwork.Universal has announced MONTY PYTHON’S THE MEANING OF LIFE: SPECIAL EDITION fro September 2. Anamorphic Widescreen with both 5.1 DDS and DTS tracks, as well as an intro by Eric Idle, commentary tracks, deleted scenes, THE MEANING OF MAKING THE MEANING OF LIFE documentary and at least 10 (!) additional featurettes. Lion’s Gate has finally set Rob Zombie’s creep-opus HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES for an August 12 release on DVD. Full specs are still to come, but some of the extras will include Rob Zombie commentary, many trailers, an isolated score, featurettes created for the DVD, screen tests and a photo gallery. Stay tuned for more.Charlton Heston SciFi legends THE OMEGA MAN and SOYLENT GREEN will be released concurrently on August 5.Universal has announced SCARFACE:THE RESURRECTION EDITION for September. Details to follow.And finally, the biggest news of the day (Sorry, MATRIX fans, this rules all!). Universal has announced their new version of the greatest comedy of the last three decades. ANIMAL HOUSE: DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION EDITION will enlighten us all on August 26. Separate Fullscreen and Anamorphic Widescreen editions will be available, both with remastered 5.1 DDS sound. Included in the extras are THE YEARBOOK – AN ANIMAL HOUSE REUNION documentary available on the previous DVD release, as well as WHERE ARE THEY NOW – A DELTA ALUMNI UPDATE featurette, “Animated Anecdotes”, trailers and much more…TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!
