JAMES COBURN 1928-2002 R.I.P.

Batted them pretty little eyes at you, and you fell for it like an egg from a tall chicken!

Another tremendous loss for the entertainment world…

The great James Coburn passed away yesterday at the age of 74.

According to reports from The Associated Press, James Coburn died of a heart attack while at home with his wife, Paula Murad.

Coburn was one of the screens great tough guys, while still possesing a charisma and natural grace all his own. Probably best known for his starring roles in the spy spoofs IN LIKE FLINT and OUR MAN FLINT, Coburn was an integral part of classic films ranging from THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, THE GREAT ESCAPE and CHARADE to THE MUPPET MOVIE and THE PLAYER. He can currently be seen in THE MAN FROM ELYSIAN FIELDS with Mick Jagger and Andy Garcia, and will be forever remembered as the voice of MONSTERS, INC big-boss Henry J. Waternoose.

He was also well-known for his close relationship as friend and student to Bruce Lee, and for his work with various charities in Hollywood.

He will be greatly missed.
