Contact: Whither Blu-ray?

This 1997 Robert Zemeckis showboat is almost as well known for lawsuits and controversies as it is for the content on the cellulose. Contact opened to mixed reviews, but subsequent awards and nominations seem to have vindicated those who liked it. Anyone who still hasn’t seen the film and who expects it to closely follow Carl Sagan’s 1985 book may be disappointed. It is really best to view the two...[Read More]

Muppets Perform Queen

This is the busy season for me out in the real world so I haven’t been around very much, but I just HAD to post this for all the Muppet fans who frequent the site. Seems someone was bored at the ole’ Muppet Labs or something because a video of everyone’s favorite felt friends has hit you tube and they’re performing Bohemian Rhapsady Muppet style. If you want your day made, ...[Read More]

Trailer: ‘Universal Soldier: Regeneration’

Now here’s a movie I’m looking forward to despite the fact I know it’s going to be really hokey. Why? Simple answer is because it reminds of the action movies I watched in the 80’s. The era that Muscle & Fitness called the ultimate action hero time. I’m talking some Universal Soldier: Regeneration.

‘Beastly’ Teaser Trailer

CBS Movies have released the teaser trailer for their upcoming theatrical film Beastly. The film stars High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens, Alex Pettyfer, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Neil Patrick Harris.

Star Trek Blu-ray Ooops

While sitting down to watch my purchased copy of Star Trek on Blu-ray I notice a little oops. While this oops doesn’t take away from the film at any point there is greasy spot or two during one shot during the movie. I’ve done my best to capture it using my camera, but it can be seen best on your high-def screen… take a gander on the picture.

Trailer: ‘Kick-Ass’

Normally we avoid the cussing here on Eye Crave Network, but when the title has what some would consider a cuss how to do you avoid it? This time you don’t because the Kick-Ass, well, kicks ass.

Trailer: ‘Clash of the Titans’

Since the 80’s there has been few action stars. It seems as though Sam Worthington is after the title. Just look at the movies he’s doing on these days – Terminator Salvation, Avatar and now Clash of the Titans. Yes, I’ve written too much already because I know all you want to do is see the trailer. The film also stars Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen, Alexa Davalos, Danny Hu...[Read More]

A Question with the Director(s) of UP

I had an opportunity to join in a virtual round table with the directors of UP a few weeks back. While I expected partial text and partial video it turned out to be chat only. Pete Docter and Bob Peterson chatted it up and kept things interesting. While most of the questions asked were answered several times throughout the Blu-ray/DVD commentary and special features the one question of mine they t...[Read More]
